Retro pop-up market 13.10.2013, Antwerp, Belgium

So as we travel around Europe we are always looking for markets to sell our art and to meet people who are interested in the European exchange idea.

This time it was the turn of the Retro pop-up market in Antwerp. The pop-up market sells, pimped wardrobes, retro fashion, handmade creations, gadgets, and bioproducts.

This is a really cool market set on a boat. Which has a swimming pool in summer, they then change it to a ice rink in the winter, also with a restaurant and bar facilities. pretty unique!

This event takes place every second Sunday of the month and people all over Belgium and the Netherlands come over for it and make a day of it.

The venue is on two decks and has a DJ that spins retro tunes that get everyone in the mood.  You can relax on the boat, eating and drinking or just wonder around enjoying the atmosphere.

Unfortunately when we were there it was one of the rainiest days of the the year, apparently the months rain fall for October fell in that day, but this did not deter the hardcore retro fans coming out to enjoy the stalls.

We sold a reasonable amount, met some nice people and generally had a good time, so I would pop along if you're ever in Antwerp.
